We’re McDreaming and McObsessed. If you met us, we’re actually rather normal people. We all need a creative outlet, and this is ours. We didn’t take any of the pictures, so credit goes to you if it is yours.
We’re both old enough to know better than to do something like this, so why do we have a fan site for Patrick Dempsey?
It started out innocent enough. McObsessed travels a lot for work, and on those long jaunts, McDreaming would send her pictures of Patrick. Some old, some new, all (okay mostly) hot. It got so common, that the emails became titled “The Daily Dose of Dempsey”.
We watched Grey’s each week, and then McObsessed’s birthday came around, and McDreaming got her the Patrick Dempsey “Enchanted” doll (and one for herself, of course). McDreaming added stickers like “Now with extra crinkles” to the box, as that’s one of those fine wine-type features that we find hotter than hot.
The McDreamy doll followed us with our friends to bars, which was met with cheers by female bartenders, and groans from the men (and most of our friends). Our friend, the Emir noticed the Made of Honor standup where we could put our faces through, which we replied that we had, of course, already seen. She said “let me know if I should tell you when you two have gone too far.”
Later thatnight, McObsessed found that dailydoseofdempsey.com was not a registered domain. She sent it to McDreaming with the email subject of “We have officially gone too far”, and thus the site was born.
We don’t make a dime on the site, and the google ads (as of October 2008) haven’t even garnered 10 bucks yet. When it gets to any amount of consequence the money’s going over to the Dempsey Cancer center.
While we wish we were, We are in no way affilliated with Grey’s Anatomy or Patrick Dempsey or his charities or anything else of that nature.
We also are not down with pictures of his kids. He’s a public figure, and when Jillian opts to go to Red Carpet events or do photoshoots, that’s one thing. Kids are off limits, so you won’t find them here. We wouldn’t want people stalking us with our kids, and respect his stated desire (in interviews) to not have photographers stalking his.
We’re just here to check out the attractive man who seems (from all reports) to be a helluva guy.
